As a Water & Wastewater Treatment Process Design Engineer you will become an important member of the core W&WW Infrastructure team, influence the company’s continued success.  You will be responsible for working with project Leader and other disciplines along project Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key member of Water & Wastewater Infrastructure for selecting cost effective treatment solutions and process design.
  •  Work with Business development and the Project Management teams for W&WW infrastructure prospects / Requests for Proposals (RFP) for basic design and, support material take offs for cost estimation.
  • Support a wide variety of municipal water, recycled water, wastewater and storm water related projects involving wells, pipelines, collection systems, lift pump stations, storage and equalization facilities, pipeline rehabilitation and treatment facilities.
  • Perform evaluation and selection of preferred alternatives and treatment technologies
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports and supporting documents
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications and cost estimates
  • Provide construction support services, review shop drawings, prepare operations and maintenance manuals.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in design of Municipal & Industrial Water & Wastewater Treatment facilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil / Environmental Engineering.
  • Holding APEGA Professional Engineering (P. Eng.) or being eligible to obtain within 6 months
  • Experience using Water & Wastewater Modelling / Design Software (Hydromatis-GPX, Membrane Design software).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D Modelling software (Micro-station, PDS) will be considered a plus but is not necessary
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, organized and hard working
  • Openness and ability to be coached, passion for achieving goals, persistence and determination are important traits for this position
